Accounts Payable Clerk

About The RoleCurrently this position involves office tasks, most related to accounts payable for Dallas Assembly.Pay Range - $21.00 to $22.50Compensation will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Candidates with additional relevant degrees or certifications and extensive experience may be considered for the higher end of the salary range.Shift: Day Shift - 8:00 am to 5:00 pmPreferred - Accounting Certificate and/or Five Years of ExperienceTop eight skills and abilities being sought for this position:Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with continuous interruptions.Must have good oral and written communication and organizational skills.Ability to follow instruction, written and verbal.Ability to organize workload for timely accomplishment of work.Ability to communicate with all Company employees/customers/suppliers in a businesslike and professional manner.Must have strong analytical skills.Possess strong overall office skills, including use of computers, their applications, and other office equipment.Must be able to occasionally sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, push and pull, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel.Top eight actual tasks being sought for this position:Prepare payables package, including invoice, receiver and purchase order.Code the invoice using proper general ledger code and assure proper authorization.Research as needed to secure proper documentation as backup for payment justification.Input data into SAP in a timely manner, so that late payments do not occur and discounts are taken.Answer vendor inquiries and research past due notices.Process international affiliate A/P.Provide backup for invoicing, AIR, and various other accounting and administrative functions as needed.Perform other tasks as requested.Although we have described above what we are generally looking for, we are very likely missing other attributes and skills that may make you a great fit!
