What You'll Do
As a Line Cook you are responsible for the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to the restaurant’s standards. This position demands a high level of kitchen competence and the ability to handle a fast-paced cooking environment, work as a team and communicate well under stress.

 

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, plating standards, and quality expectations.
• Set up and stock your station before each shift, ensuring all ingredients and supplies are ready for service. 
• Maintain consistent portioning and food preparation standards to ensure quality and control food costs. 
• Communicate promptly with Management regarding food quality concerns, equipment issues, or service delays. 
• Keep your station organized, clean, and fully stocked throughout each shift, notifying management when inventory is running low.  
• Follow all procedures for handling food allergies and dietary restrictions with accuracy and attention to detail. 
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment by following all health department regulations and restaurant sanitation standards. 
• Properly operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting any maintenance needs immediately. 
• Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining composure, speed, and attention to detail. 
• Assist with receiving, rotating, labeling, and storing food using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices. 
• Collaborate with chefs, kitchen staff, and front-of-house team members to ensure a smooth and successful guest experience. 
• Be willing to assist in other areas of the kitchen and perform additional duties as needed to support the team. 

We're Looking For Someone Who

• · Has at least 1 year of line cook or professional kitchen experience
• · Possesses strong knife skills and food preparation techniques
• · Can multitask while maintaining quality and consistency
• · Takes pride in cleanliness, organization, and food safety
• · Communicates effectively and enjoys working as part of a team
• · Is reliable, punctual, and ready to contribute every shift
• ServSafe or Food Handler Certification is a plus, but not required to start

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• · Stand and walk for extended periods
• · Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• · Safely use kitchen equipment and sharp knives
• · Work in hot, cold, and fast-paced kitchen environments
