As a Security Officer Access Screening Patrol in Sunnyvale, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic retail location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access awareness through strong customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Monitor access points, observe foot traffic, and/or assist with crowd management during busy shopping periods, special events, and store opening or closing activities.
- Support loss prevention and operational goals by reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns in accordance with site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
