Competitive Salary + Benefits We are recruiting on behalf of an award-winning commercial general contractor in Columbus, Ohio, who are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Estimator to join their growing preconstruction team. With a strong reputation across the Midwest, this contractor delivers diverse projects in retail, mixed-use, education, healthcare, automotive dealerships, and office developments . The Role As a Commercial Estimator , you will play a key role in shaping the success of high-value projects. Responsibilities include: Reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate cost estimates. Preparing detailed take-offs and pricing for commercial construction scopes. Coordinating with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients throughout the preconstruction phase. Obtaining competitive bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Supporting value engineering exercises and risk analysis. Presenting bid proposals and participating in client negotiations. Requirements Degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred). 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction. Proven track record delivering estimates for projects ranging from $1M–$50M+. Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and building systems. Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office Suite. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
