Application Developer II

Role Description

Join a high-impact team as an Application Developer II, where you'll design, develop, and optimize applications for financial risk management within the financial services industry. • Develop, test, and maintain robust applications using Java, Typescript, Spring Boot, Angular 15+, and ReactJS
• Design and implement scalable REST APIs and middleware solutions utilizing IBM MQ, Solace, and API management platforms like APIGEE
• Build and support applications in Windows and Linux environments, deploying containers with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
• Collaborate in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban teams to deliver high-quality software aligned with business objectives
• Integrate with large-scale cloud data platforms, notably Snowflake, using advanced SQL and PL/SQL
• Conduct rigorous software testing leveraging Junit, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma, and automate test cases with Selenium
• Utilize CI/CD pipelines with GIT, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, and track progress in Jira
• Apply strong knowledge of data warehousing and data pipeline concepts to support business-critical solutions
• Participate in peer code reviews, contribute to process improvement, and mentor junior team members

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise with Java, Typescript, Java EE, Spring Boot, Angular 15+, ReactJS
• Experience with REST APIs, JMS, PL/SQL, IBM MQ, Solace, Tomcat, Liberty Server, WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
• Proficient with CI/CD and development tools: GIT, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Visual Studio, IntelliJ, Eclipse, Jira
• Advanced SQL and PL/SQL for large-scale data platforms (e.g., Snowflake)
• Strong software testing skills using Junit, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma, Selenium
• Understanding of software development methodologies: Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban
• Background in financial services, particularly in financial risk management and securities

Preferred Skills

• Experience with APIGEE for API management
• Knowledge of test engineering methodologies and automation frameworks
• Familiarity with large-scale data warehousing and pipelines
• Exposure to financial instruments such as equities, treasuries, and mortgage-backed securities
