Content Management Sr Lead Software Engineer - Columbus

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with 5+ years of applied experience
• Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced proficiency in at least one programming language
• Experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, code review, testing, or troubleshooting, and setting expectations for validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security; experience coaching senior engineers or leads on compliant practices and controls
• Experience using AI agents to optimize code and address workflow friction
• Ability to independently solve design and functionality problems with minimal oversight
• Expert-level Java full-stack, React, and Next.js coding skills
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and API Gateway
• Experience building secure external-facing applications using secure coding practices
• Technical leadership and mentoring experience with software engineers at varying levels in an Agile environment
• Preferred: Experience with content management systems
• Preferred: Experience in a large financial services or banking technology environment

• Provide technical guidance and direction to the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others
• Lead adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes; establish validation standards and promote reusable patterns and automation across the software development lifecycle toolchain
• Apply software development lifecycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation at scale
• Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
• Serve as a subject matter expert across the organization in one or more areas
• Advocate for firmwide software development lifecycle frameworks, tools, and practices within the engineering community
• Develop and enhance a content platform using Java full-stack technologies, React, and Next.js, supporting content lifecycles through headless content APIs across digital channels
• Build secure external-facing applications and use AI agents to optimize code and resolve workflow friction
• Design solutions that account for modularity, performance, resilience, scalability, and other non-functional criteria
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications using AWS, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and API Gateway
