Advanced Lab Assistant
$20 - $27.5 per hourBio-Techne
Bio-Techne seeks an Advanced Lab Assistant to support protein sciences operations in Minneapolis. The role involves laboratory equipment operation, cell culture harvesting, media preparation, sterilization processes, and maintenance of inventory and documentation for cGMP production environments.
Responsibilities
- Operate autoclave, labware washer, and perform hand washing per department protocols
- Harvest and concentrate conditioned media for product purification including cGMP production
- Prepare and sterilize labware while maintaining clean equipment supply across departments
- Manufacture solutions, media, and plates; handle biohazardous waste following safety procedures
- Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, documentation, and training of new staff
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years related laboratory experience
- Associate degree with 0-2 years related experience (alternative qualification)
- Knowledge of general lab equipment and centrifuge operation
- Professional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
- Manual dexterity and physical capability to lift 40 pounds regularly
- Knowledge of safety protocols, confidentiality, and company policies
Compensation: $20.00 - $27.50
