We are hiring for the position of cook. Location: NY Long Island - New York. Type of work: Full Time, Part Time. Pay: From $17 per hour (Based on experience).

We are looking for an experienced cook who enjoys their work to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position should have previous experience in preparing delicious burgers and other meals, enjoy working in a busy restaurant environment, and be able to follow instructions and perform multiple tasks effectively. Responsibilities of the cook will include training in all kitchen stations.

The responsibilities of a member of BOH include:

• Measuring and mixing ingredients to prepare some menu items following recipes.
• Collaborating with the head chef and cooks to prepare meals during our dining hours.
• Maintaining accurate food inventories.
• Properly storing food at the right temperatures.
• Rotating stock items according to established procedures (FIFO).
• Restocking stations for subsequent shifts.
• Ensuring that the food preparation area and kitchen are clean and sanitized during and at the end of your shift.

Job qualifications:

• Preferably 1 year or more of experience as a cook.
• Able to read English tickets and follow recipes and protocols.
• Great knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
• Able to work as a team in a busy kitchen environment.
