Senior Network Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a contract position with a Technology Company located in Burlington, MA. This is a 3-4 month contract opportunity. Pay $75.00 - $85.00ph W2 DOE This is an immediate, short-term engagement to support several critical network initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a senior-level engineer with deep hands-on expertise in large-scale enterprise networking, including Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto platforms, as well as hybrid cloud environments spanning AWS, Azure, and GCP. Responsibilities: Lead, maintain and support hybrid cloud networking strategies leveraging AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, and multi-region connectivity Architect and lead implementation of scalable, resilient, and secure network solutions across global data centers, cloud environments, and corporate sites Design next-generation data center fabrics using EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, and spine-leaf topologies Develop hybrid cloud networking strategies leveraging AWS, GCP, and Azure Oversee lifecycle management of core network infrastructure, including Cisco Nexus, Juniper QFX, and Palo Alto firewalls Define standards for wireless architecture, including predictive site surveys, RF planning, and performance optimization Drive automation and orchestration initiatives to streamline network operations Lead global network operations workflows, ensuring high availability and performance Establish proactive monitoring, alerting, and incident response protocols for critical infrastructure Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, topologies, and CMDB entries Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to implement segmentation and threat detection strategies Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for network infrastructure Partner with engineers for remote data center operations, including cabling and hardware deployment Engage with Engineering, Cloud, and IT teams to support product launches and infrastructure scaling Requirements: Experience in enterprise network engineering within a lead or principal role Expert-level knowledge of Cisco Nexus 9K/7K, Juniper QFX, and Palo Alto NGFW platforms Proven experience designing and deploying EVPN/VXLAN fabrics and BGP-based architectures Strong understanding of cloud networking and direct interconnects across AWS, Azure, and GCP Experience managing global network environments across multiple regions and time zones Strong experience with network troubleshooting, optimization, and operational support Excellent communication, documentation, and technical leadership skills Desired skills: Certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent expert-level credentials Experience with network automation tools and languages, including Python, Ansible, and Terraform Familiarity with VPN technologies and Zero Trust architectures Knowledge of network observability tools such as NetBox, Grafana, and SolarWinds Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
