Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Stepdown or progressive care experience - Telemetry experience - Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications Description: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 40 Type of Staff: - Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 10 bedside nurses, 4 Patient Care Technicians, 1 Unit Secretary - Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 10 bedside nurses, 3 Patient Care Technicians Patient Ratios: 1:4; stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio Type of Patients: Patients with congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, chest pain, arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, diabetic ketoacidosis, post-cardiac catheterization/stenting, post-pacer/ICD/ablation.
