Description Assess patients across all age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics utilizing standardized evaluations and observational methods. Create individualized treatment strategies that focus on immediate and long-term communication and swallowing needs. Implement personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on speech production, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques. Work alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and support networks to develop unified care plans. Educate both patients and their families to assist progress outside the therapy environment. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy for seamless care during the recovery process. Keep accurate and timely records that comply with local, federal, and organizational standards. Continually enhance your professional skills through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment techniques for all ages, with proficiency in both developmental and acquired speech and swallowing disorders. Outstanding communication skills to engage with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to modify therapy approaches to manage diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
