This position is for the CAM PACU. This is a M-F shift 9-1930 mixing in some 10-2030. We require 24 hours of call. Closed nights, holidays, weekends. Must have ACLS, BLS, and recovery room experience.

Job location: Center for Advanced Medicine at 4921 Parkview Place, St. Louis, Mo 63110.

Ratios: Pre op is 1:2, 1:3 and PACU is 1:2, and 1:3.

Special Requirements: Will need to pass Relias EKG exam. Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias required Epic required- Patient Diagnoses: Preoperative, Phase I and Phase II care; MUST be able to do pre-op and post op. Approximately 85% of our patients are same day surgery. Rapid pace, quick turnover, flexibility is a must have skill. All staff RN's are competent in pre and post op care.- Requires EKG rhythm analysis, transfusion, blood drawing, and IV starts, experience with drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia- One year of critical care / ICU experience or Level I Trauma Center PACU experience- We are a Level I Trauma PACU. Our PACU RNs need proficiency in managing complicated postoperative patients including multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia. We are looking for a nurse with at least one year of critical care experience or from a Level I Trauma Center.

We work up patients preoperatively for a multitude of surgical services: Neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, colorectal, GYN, orthopedics, trauma, transplant, cardiothoracic, hepatobiliary, vascular, endoscopy, interventional radiology and urology. REQUIRED: EKG rhythm analysis, transfusion, blood drawing, and IV startsREQUIRED: experience with drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia Special Equipment : *** SCREEN if missing any required skills ******* Will need to pass Relias EKG exam #Tier2 Travel Compliance RTO Policy: Max of 7 days of RTO (7+ days requires manager approval, along with any holiday RTO). ALL RTO MUST BE FINALIZED AT TIME OF SUBMISSION No new RTO after submission. NO ADDITIONAL RTO OR SCHEDULE REQUESTS CAN BE REQUESTED POST SUBMISSION, POST OFFER OR POST START/ONSITE No RTO allowed the first week of an assignment. License Information: MO: Submit without license OK; requires MO or compact (no issuance if tied to another compact state). IL: License in hand required at time of submittal. Compact: Must match permanent residence otherwise submit for update + confirm ETA. Radius/Local Rules: No local candidates accepted within 75 mile radius. No local travelers allowed, except for Patient Care Technicians, Certified Nurse Assistants, and Medical Assistants. Tenure Policy / Returning Staff and Tenure Policy (excluding Interim Leadership and RNFA roles): 18 months with a 3-month break in service required. Permanent employees (across BJC and/or Saint Lukes) must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler. Floating: All travelers will float within service line. Contract Details: Confirm shift in submittal (e.g., 3x12, 4x12, etc.). Please note, contract length is firm. Booking Rules: BJC does not permit contractors to sign a contract and subsequently cancel it in order to accept another BJC assignment. Contractors are expected to fulfill the terms of their signed agreement in full. Mid-contract cancellations for the purpose of booking a different BJC assignment are not allowed. If a contract is canceled at the contractor s discretion, they must complete an assignment elsewhere before being considered for a new BJC opportunity. Compliance Deadlines/Requirements : Compliance deadline is 3pm CST on the Monday of the week before initial start date. Fit testing: *Travelers must have facial hair that allows for proper testing or will be expected to shave. No exceptions Certifications: For Barnes-Jewish Hospital location only: ACLS Required All RNs (except Behavioral Health, Case Manager & Outpatient) are required to obtain ACLS by compliance hard document deadline. Certifications not required at time of submittal unless otherwise noted in the job description. Labs: Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing Modules: Modules are billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr.Modules are completed pre-start, they are required for RNs and LVS and do not differ per specialty Modules are completed through WorkRamp and uploaded to compliance report Modules should be started within 1 week of signed contract, and MUST be completed 2 Fridays prior to the start date to avoid a delay in starting
