Registered Nurse PACU

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Travel Ambulatory PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract at an outpatient care facility. The role involves providing post-anesthesia recovery care to surgical patients in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care in the Ambulatory PACU, including monitoring vital signs and managing patient recovery.
• Perform cardiac monitoring, including dysrhythmia recognition and management.
• Conduct pre-op assessments, patient education, and review of H&P documentation.
• Administer medications such as emergency drugs, narcotics, opioids, and reversal agents.
• Manage anesthesia recovery procedures, including nerve blocks and spinal anesthesia.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, including PPE and isolation precautions.

Qualifications:

• Active New York State RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Ambulatory PACU or outpatient surgical settings.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrated skill in cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and perioperative patient care.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to pass EKG testing within 72 hours of signing and provide manager references.
