About This Role The Registered Nurse - Endoscopy position involves providing age-specific care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in collaborative environments and possess strong clinical judgment. Highlights Location: Plainview, NY Schedule: Per Diem (as needed), Monday-Saturday, 7.5 hours What You’ll Do Assess patients' physiologic health status through interviews and chart reviews. Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition to adjust care plans. Communicate and document patients' health status and care plans. Elicit patients' perceptions of care and identify coping mechanisms. Develop criteria for measuring patient outcomes and identify potential problems. Formulate and document individualized plans of care. Implement care plans while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Administer medications correctly and educate patients on drug interactions. Participate in patient and family education regarding conditions and discharge planning. Collaborate with care team members to coordinate treatment regimens. Requirements Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: Inpatient Endoscopy RN experience highly preferred. Licenses & Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
