We are looking to add an ITS Project Manager who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable, and Beautiful Communities.What You Will Be DoingAs an ITS Project Manager, this role will serve as the technical and project lead for mid? to large?scale Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) projects. This hybrid position may be based in any one of our office locations.Responsibilities include leading the planning, design, and implementation of advanced ITS infrastructure such as communications networks, system integration, transit signal priority, and connected corridor technologies. This position plays a strategic role in supporting regional growth, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to pursuit and capture efforts within our municipal and transit markets.Serving as Lead Engineer and Project Manager on mid? to large?scale ITS projectsProviding specialized technical expertise in ITS planning, design, and system integrationLeading development of technical studies, detailed design packages, and implementation strategiesPresenting complex technical solutions and recommendations to state, municipal, and transit clientsPerforming quality control reviews and approving technical work prepared by project teamsDeveloping project scopes, schedules, engineering budgets, and resource plansCoordinating across multidisciplinary teams including traffic, roadway, rail, and communicationsPreparing and contributing to technical proposals, fee estimates, and pursuit strategiesSupporting business development efforts and maintaining strong client relationships with state, municipal, and transit agenciesEnsuring compliance with applicable state, local, and federal transportation standardsWhat We Are Looking ForBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field8+ years of relevant traffic engineering and/or ITS experience, or demonstrated equivalency of education and experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) license in the state of hireExperience managing engineering design and/or planning projects across the full project lifecycleDirect experience supporting state or county transportation agencies, and/or transit agenciesExperience with BRT and rail technology systemsDemonstrated success in business development, municipal client engagement, and pursuit leadershipTechnical experience in one or more of the following: Fiber optic communications detailed designCCTV Camera SystemsDynamic Message SignsVehicle Detection SystemsBRT and Rail technology systemsSystem integrationWeather monitoring systemsVariable Speed Limit SystemsDynamic Lane Management SystemsAutomatic Vehicle Location (AVL) systemsTransit signal priorityTolling systemsATMS SoftwareExperience with delivering complex preliminary and final design packages including plans, specifications, and cost estimateExperience coordinating with MPOs, transit agencies, and regional planning organizationsActive engagement in relevant professional organizationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsBolton & Menk will currently not be providing visa sponsorship or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students.
