Necessary Qualifications and Skills

• We welcome Certified Hygienists of all experience levels to apply
• Active Hygienist License in the state of New York
• Warm, compassionate and professional chairside manner - we want our patients to feel well taken care of!
• General understanding of standard dental software, including Dexis and Eaglesoft
• Excellent communicator - must be fluent in both English and Spanish
• A self-starting team player - you’re there to help when needed, but also own your work without direct supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist certification in NJ
• X-ray certification in NY and/or NJ
• Conversant in Spanish

Accountabilities

• End to end management of patient hygiene appointments
• Educating and counselling patients on proper oral health techniques - instilling a sense of careful ownership of personal oral hygiene in our patient base
• Patient screenings, both pre- and post-up, providing an extra set of eyes and hands to our dentists
• Conduct oral health examinations and assess gum health
• Taking X-rays when the need arises
• Documentation of patient treatment plans and maintaining patient records
• Advising patients on dental health concerns and treatment options

Among our team members are several experienced doctors, including Dr. Patti and Dr. Suero, both graduates of Columbia University, with over 30 years of training and experience in North Jersey. Dr. Patti specializes in pediatric dentistry, while Dr. Suero passionately treats the underserved Latinx community.
