Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour, based on experience
Shift: Day Shift
Location: Berea, OH
Schedule: Full-Time
PPG Staffing is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector for an established precision manufacturing company in Berea, Ohio.
This position is responsible for inspecting incoming, in-process, and finished manufactured parts to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical inspection experience in a manufacturing or machining environment and be comfortable working with precision measuring and inspection equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical quality inspections on incoming, in-process, and finished products
- Conduct floor inspections and verify parts meet required specifications before moving to the next stage of production
- Follow established inspection plans and quality-control procedures
- Use gauges, comparators, height gauges, and other inspection equipment
- Identify defects, nonconforming parts, and quality issues
- Accurately document and record inspection results
- Work closely with machine operators, production employees, and quality personnel to address quality concerns
- Maintain accurate quality records and follow established manufacturing procedures
- Ensure products consistently meet customer and company quality standards
Requirements
- 3+ years of quality-control experience required
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Quality Inspector, Quality Inspector, or similar manufacturing quality role
- Experience working in a machining, precision manufacturing, metalworking, or similar production environment strongly preferred
- Familiarity with mechanical inspection tools, gauges, and quality-testing equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to accurately document inspection results
- Comfortable working directly on a manufacturing floor
- Basic computer skills
- Dependable and able to work independently while communicating effectively with production personnel
Compensation
$22.00-$26.00 per hour , depending on experience.
