Travel RN in Medical/Surgical – Night Shift

Required skills:

• Active RN license in the state of employment or valid compact license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of recent med/surg nursing experience
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
• Excellent communication skills and cultural competence
• Basic understanding of medication administration and patient education

Nice to have skills:

• Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN)
• Previous travel or agency nursing experience
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Additional certifications such as ACLS or NRP

Preferred education and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• At least 1 year of med/surg nursing experience in a hospital setting
• Prior experience working night shifts is advantageous

Other requirements:

• Availability to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities required
• Dress code: blue scrubs
• Ability to handle 5:1 or 6:1 patient nurse ratios
• Willingness to travel and adapt to new healthcare environments
• Compliance with all facility-specific policies and safety protocols
