High-acuity hospital-based emergency care supporting adult and pediatric patients in a general hospital setting

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for an ongoing locum tenens position supporting a hospital in Vicksburg, Mississippi. This role involves providing emergency care in a busy hospital environment, managing a broad patient population with a focus on acute stabilization and treatment. Providers will work both day and night shifts, with credentialing required prior to start.

Opportunity Highlights

• Location: Vicksburg, Mississippi
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens
• Setting: Hospital Emergency Department
• Shifts: 6:00 AM–6:00 PM and 6:00 PM–6:00 AM (must work both shifts as needed)
• APP staffing includes coverage from 8:00 AM–6:00 PM and 2:00 PM–12:00 AM

Clinical Scope

• Emergency medicine care for adult and pediatric patients
• Management of broad emergency presentations including trauma, medical, and surgical cases
• Performing ACLS, ATLS, PALS (unless board certified in emergency medicine)
• Managing emergency procedures within scope of practice
• Documentation and order management within hospital EMR system

Requirements

• Active Mississippi medical license
• DEA registration in Mississippi
• ACLS, ATLS, PALS (unless board certified in emergency medicine)
• Quantiferon TB Gold test completion
• Willingness to work both day and night shifts
• Credentialing documents submitted before start
• Completion of CAQH questionnaire and facility checklist
