Strategic Sourcing Manager

Overview Location: Tallahassee, FL Compensation: $50.00-$62.56 per hour Engagement: Contract Duration: Contract 36 months Responsibilities Engage with multiple business functions and manage spend categories related to construction and capital equipment within a matrixed environment. Evaluate, onboard, and negotiate with strategic suppliers; lead new and renewal Master Services Agreement (MSA) negotiations across key construction and capital equipment categories. Manage a portfolio of capital projects valued from $1 to $20 million; support sub-categories such as Architectural and Engineering services, Construction Management, Automation Integration, Commissioning, Quality and Validation, and general construction services. Execute sourcing (eRFX) for Capital Construction and Capital Equipment Global Category Management teams; ensure compliance with global sourcing policies and procedures. Lead contracting activities (negotiation, contract creation in Ariba CW), manage contract management, and coordinate hand-off to Contract-to-Pay teams. Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely execution of eRFX, bid analysis, contractor selection, and contract execution in a fast-paced environment. Develop and maintain supplier relationships; implement project sourcing plans and provide training as needed. Additional Responsibilities Coordinate with Finance and other functional heads; support delivery and validation of savings for Global Category Managers. Ensure procurement policies are followed and compliance metrics are met; inform stakeholders on sourcing policies and corrective actions. Assist the Overall Project Manager with strategic sourcing and procurement matters; manage commercial relationships between project teams and suppliers. Maintain project sourcing plans as a living document; lead supplier selection processes and ensure timely reviews of contract documents. Support ongoing contract management, including renewals and renegotiations; provide basic training on contract provisions to project teams. Resolve contractor disputes, claims, and change orders in collaboration with project management and controls teams. Basic Qualifications Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree and 2 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Capital Procurement, Operations or Project Management; OR Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience; OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience; OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience in relevant fields. Minimum of 10 years of strategic sourcing and capital procurement, operations/manufacturing or project management experience; strong understanding of tendering, supplier negotiations, contracting, and use of e-sourcing tools (e.g., Ariba, Scout). Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work with minimal supervision; proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
