Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented accountant to support the accounting and financial operations of a growing portfolio of hospitality properties. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounting across multiple hotel entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month-end close, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

The ideal candidate has recent hospitality accounting experience, thrives in a multi-entity environment, and is comfortable partnering with property leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.

• Perform full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of multiple hospitality properties, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules for multiple entities.

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions.

• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and fixed asset accounting as needed.

• Support the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasting for assigned hotel properties.

• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide meaningful reporting to finance leadership and property management teams.

• Maintain accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.

• Assist with external audits, tax preparation, and year-end reporting requirements.

• Collaborate with hotel general managers and department leaders to ensure financial accuracy and operational support.

• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and internal controls.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Recent hospitality accounting experience is required, with experience working directly for hotels, hospitality management companies, or hospitality ownership groups.

• Experience managing accounting for multiple entities and/or multiple hospitality locations.

• Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping, including month-end close and financial statement preparation.

• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial analysis.

• Proficiency with enterprise accounting software; experience with M3 Accounting is preferred, but candidates with strong experience using comparable accounting systems (such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms) are encouraged to apply.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial reporting and data analysis.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with hotel management systems and hospitality financial reporting.

• Knowledge of hotel revenue streams, occupancy reporting, and departmental financial analysis.

• CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.

• Experience working in a centralized accounting environment supporting multiple hotel properties.
