Pay Rate: $45/hr
Duration: 12 months
Schedule: Full-time, hybrid; flexible to be onsite at the Winnipeg office as needed

About the Role:
This position will support the development and execution of software testing and verification activities for Monteris Medical’s software and integrated medical device systems. The Test Technician will develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scripts and test cases to verify software against approved requirements and design specifications. The role combines hands-on development and test automation with highly documented and traceable testing in a regulated medical device environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and test tools using C#, WPF, and C++.
• Execute manual and automated test protocols and test cases based on approved requirements and specifications.
• Build and maintain automated test cases and suites using NUnit, Google Test, JUnit , or equivalent frameworks.
• Set up and maintain test environments, hardware/software test benches, and laboratory equipment .
• Document and report test results, defects, and anomalies with accurate, traceable documentation.
• Identify, log, track, and retest software defects through resolution and closure.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and results within Jama .
• Support automated testing, monitoring, and reporting through Jenkins CI/CD pipelines .
• Collaborate with software engineers, verification analysts, and quality teams to ensure thorough test coverage.
• Troubleshoot software defects and support root-cause investigations .
• Support testing of image processing, visualization features, and DICOM-based imaging workflows as applicable.
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions by ensuring testing documentation is complete and audit-ready.
• Follow applicable FDA, ISO, CSA, and EU regulations and guidance .

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with software testing and test automation .
• Experience with C# , WPF, and/or C++.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as NUnit, Google Test, or JUnit .
• Experience developing and maintaining test scripts, test cases, and test suites .
• Experience documenting defects, test results, and verification activities.
• Familiarity with Jama for requirements/test traceability is valuable.
• Experience with Jenkins/CI/CD testing workflows is preferred.
• Experience in medical device software, regulated environments, or verification & validation (V&V) is highly relevant.
• Experience with DICOM or medical imaging workflows is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation.
