Bankruptcy & Restructuring Law Partner | Benefits & Compensation Highly competitive, revenue-driven partner compensation structure based on portable business, collections, and practice contribution Opportunity to transition an existing bankruptcy or restructuring practice or explore a potential small firm merger Retain significant autonomy over your clients, practice, and business development Established infrastructure, administrative support, and operational resources Dedicated marketing, branding, and business development support to help expand your book of business Access to a broader network of attorneys and complementary practice areas for cross-referrals Opportunity to grow your practice without the overhead and administrative responsibilities of running your own firm Entrepreneurial, collaborative culture without unnecessary bureaucracy Long-term opportunity to build and lead an expanding Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Creditors' Rights practice Bankruptcy & Restructuring Law Partner | Requirements & Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Licensed and in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction Significant experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, insolvency, creditors' rights, or related commercial litigation Established practice with a transferable book of business, ideally $350K+ annually Current law firm partner, solo practitioner, boutique firm owner, or senior attorney with an established client base Experience representing creditors, lenders, financial institutions, investors, trustees, distressed businesses, or other stakeholders in bankruptcy and restructuring matters Demonstrated ability to originate business and maintain long-standing client relationships Ability to independently manage sophisticated bankruptcy proceedings, restructurings, workouts, and related litigation Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in expanding an established practice Open to exploring a lateral partnership, practice integration, or potential small firm merger Bankruptcy & Restructuring Law Partner | Preferred Background & Skills Established relationships with commercial lenders, banks, private credit funds, financial institutions, distressed businesses, investors, or other institutional clients Experience representing secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, trustees, creditors' committees, or other stakeholders in complex insolvency matters Strong background in Chapter 11 proceedings, commercial workouts, debt restructurings, receiverships, distressed transactions, and bankruptcy litigation Experience handling loan enforcement, forbearance agreements, asset recovery, adversary proceedings, and out-of-court restructurings Background with an AmLaw firm, mid-sized business law firm, bankruptcy boutique, creditors' rights firm, or independently operated practice Experience operating a solo practice, managing a boutique law firm, or leading a bankruptcy and restructuring practice group Interest in leveraging a larger firm's resources to expand an existing client base Ability to identify cross-selling opportunities involving corporate transactions, commercial litigation, real estate, finance, and other complementary practice areas Experience mentoring or managing associates is a plus Bankruptcy & Restructuring Law Partner | Day-to-Day Responsibilities Transition and continue managing your existing bankruptcy, restructuring, or creditors' rights practice within a larger, supportive platform Maintain and expand relationships with your established clients while developing new business opportunities Represent creditors, lenders, investors, trustees, distressed companies, and other stakeholders in bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings Advise clients on Chapter 11 reorganizations, restructurings, commercial workouts, and distressed business transactions Negotiate and structure loan workouts, forbearance agreements, debt restructurings, settlements, and related financial arrangements Oversee bankruptcy litigation, adversary proceedings, contested matters, receiverships, and related commercial disputesCounsel clients on creditor remedies, debt enforcement, asset recovery, insolvency risk, and strategic alternatives Collaborate with attorneys across complementary practice areas to provide comprehensive legal services and create additional opportunities for clients Leverage the firm's marketing, operational, and business development resources to grow your practice Help shape the continued expansion of the firm's Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Creditors' Rights practice Ready to Grow Your Bankruptcy & Restructuring Practice Without Building Everything Yourself?
