Desired Skills and Experience: Hold recognized certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English communication Previous experience in an educational setting or interpreting for school-aged children is highly desirable Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to tailor communication based on individual student needs Committed to maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating professionalism at all times Core Responsibilities: Provide direct sign language interpreting services for one student, facilitating clear communication between the student, peers, and school staff Adapt interpreting techniques to various classroom activities and instructional formats Collaborate regularly with teachers and other staff to support the student’s academic progress and social engagement Uphold ethical standards for educational interpreters, ensuring all interpreted communications are accurate and appropriate Assist in fostering an inclusive and accessible learning environment for the student Why Consider This Opportunity?
