Albany Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility in Evanston, IL, is in need of Upbeat, Friendly, Compassionate Activity Aides. $19.50 per hour!

Available Positions:

Full-time 8a-4p - Must Work Every Other Weekend

Full-time 11a-7p - Must Work Every Other Weekend

As an Activity Aide, you will be planning, organizing and leading activities in the facility and on community outings under the direction of the Activities Director.

Responsibilities of the Activity Aide:

• Participate in community planning related to the interests and needs of the consumer and family
• Assist the Activities Director in carrying out the plan of care for each consumer
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive, calm environment
• Record consumers' participation in daily activities and chart their progress
• Assist with recreational activities, arts and crafts, religious and community activities, service activities, intellectual and educational activities

of the Activity Aide:

• High school diploma
• Two years' experience
• Basic computer skills
• Valid Driver's License
• Demonstrate adequate English oral and written skills; bi-lingual a plus
• Must be highly organized, take initiative, think creatively and communicate well with others
• Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding of the consumers
• Considerate, pleasant and professional in the performance of duties and interactions with other staff and consumers
