Pressure Vessel Welder

CEIS Power is seeking an experienced Pressure Vessel Welder with 2+ years of experience performing pressure vessel welding in a manufacturing shop environment. This position is on a contract-to-hire basis and our client, an industrial manufacturing and service company, is looking for a motivated individual to join their fast-paced growing team. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, maintain high-quality welding standards, and thrive in a production-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform 6G MIG and Flux Core welding on pressure vessels and related components
• Weld carbon steel materials in accordance with company and customer quality requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld procedures, and fabrication drawings
• Complete welds that meet visual, bend test, and radiographic (X-ray) inspection requirements
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
• Work closely with fitters, fabricators, and quality personnel to ensure project requirements are met
• Inspect completed welds and identify any defects requiring repair
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while adhering to all safety procedures
• Support production schedules and quality objectives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of pressure vessel welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication shop environment
• Ability to perform 6G MIG and Flux Core welding
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and weld symbols
• Strong understanding of welding procedures, fit-up, and fabrication practices
• Ability to work night shift and meet production requirements
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
