Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Cable Technician to support structured cabling installation. This role will be responsible for installing, dressing, labeling, testing, and terminating copper and fiber cabling while assisting with network infrastructure deployments.

• Install and route CAT5, CAT6, and fiber optic cabling.
• Install cable trays and pathways.
• Perform cable dressing, labeling, and material management.
• Terminate and test copper and fiber optic cables.
• Rack and stack network equipment.
• Perform punch-downs, patch panel installations, and troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret floor plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Support fiber testing, OTDR testing, and fusion splicing activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.

• Minimum 1 year of structured cabling experience .
• Experience with CAT5, CAT6, copper, and fiber optic cabling.
• Knowledge of cable installation, cable trays, patch panels, and termination testing.
• Ability to read construction drawings and floor plans.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting copper and fiber systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a secure environment.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and meet customer security requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
