Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and creating tailored care strategies
• Identifying and managing acute, episodic, or chronic medical conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently (as per your credentials)
• Providing education to patients and families on wellness, disease prevention, and management
• Prescribing relevant medications and treatments within your defined scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care strategies

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to acquire these within 90 days)
