Job Title: Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Location: Bronx, NY

Position Type: Contract (13 Weeks)

Shift & Schedule:

• Day Shift

• 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

• 3 × 12-hour shifts

• 36 hours/week

Pay Rate:

• Local: $2,500–$2,553/week

• Travel: $3,200–$3,239/week

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to critically ill and premature newborns in a high-acuity Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have strong maternal and child nursing experience and a commitment to delivering compassionate, family-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill and premature neonates.

• Perform comprehensive newborn assessments and continuously monitor patient conditions.

• Administer medications, IV fluids, and specialized neonatal treatments.

• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy.

• Assist with conscious sedation procedures when applicable.

• Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team.

• Educate and support families regarding neonatal care and treatment plans.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow hospital safety protocols.

Requirements:

• Active New York State RN License

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) or higher

• Minimum 2 years of Maternal and Child Nursing experience

• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience

• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience

• Current AHA BLS Certification

• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
