Job Title: Mental Health Clinician
Location: Newark, NJ
Pay Rate: $40-$45/hr
Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire
Schedule: M-F: With Rotating Weekends
1: 6pm-2am
* (30 minute unpaid lunch - 37.5 hours paid per week) *
Must-haves
- 2+ years’ experience postgrad in any mental health related field
- Master’s degree in related mental health field
- Licensed in NJ (LCSW or LPC)

Insight Global is looking for Mental Health Clinician for a facility in Newark, NJ. They are looking for a Clinician to join the team that will be working with all age populations, all diagnoses, and all insurances. This Clinician will be the initial intakes for all walk in services. They’ll be doing biopsychosocial assessments when providing the initial intake and helping connect them with the accurate resources post assessment. They will work alongside the APN, Habilitation Counselor and Peer Support Specialist to come up with the correct next steps linking to the correct level of care.
Night Clinician
1. Program Overview
- This is a 24/7 Crisis Receiving & Stabilization Center serving individuals experiencing psychiatric and behavioral health emergencies.
- It is a fast-paced environment where teamwork and flexibility are essential.
2. Essential Staff
- This is an essential staff position.
- The center operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
- Staff are expected to work weekends, holidays, and during emergency situations according to their assigned schedule.
3. Permanent Schedule
The position you are interviewing for is the Full-Time Evening Shift Clinician.
Permanent schedule after program opening:
The hours during the week will be 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM; with weekend coverage every other weekend.
When covering during the weekend the hours will be 4 pm to 12 am
Depending on program needs, flexibility of schedule may be needed at times.
5. Working Environment
- You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes:
- APNs
- Registered Nurses
- Peer Support Specialists
- Mental Health Specialists
- Support Staff
- Other Clinicians
