Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role involves providing comprehensive care to critically ill adult patients within a multi-disciplinary ICU that manages a wide range of complex diagnoses, including respiratory failure, multisystem organ dysfunction, and stroke. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Missouri (MO) license or compact license, no experience requirement, current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Familiarity with the Epic charting system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Two years of ICU experience, previous charge nurse experience preferred, patient ratio experience preferred.
• Float: Float within service line to ICU units may be required.
• Additional Information: This role requires strong cardiac knowledge, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, ventilator management, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency medication administration. The ICU cares for adult patients with diagnoses such as respiratory failure, multisystem organ failure, and stroke, utilizing special equipment like IV pumps, CRRT, ventilators, and invasive monitoring devices.
• Travel Experience Required: Yes.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPR required.
