Operating Room Registered Nurse

Schedule

Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday with 3-4 call shifts per month, including one 24-hour weekend call.

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established philosophy. This role involves collaboration with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. The nurse will effectively interact with patients, families, and visitors while maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice. Additionally, the role provides both physical and psychological support to patients.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Effectively engage with patients, families, and visitors, maintaining professional standards.
• Provide physical and psychological support to patients during surgical procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience is required.
• Must be able to circulate in various specialties including GYN, ENT, Urology, Ortho, General, and Vascular.
• MediTech experience is required.
• Experience with all patient populations.
• Active Arkansas RN License or Compact License is required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Two supervisory reference forms taken within the last two years are required.
• Skills checklist pertinent to the Operating Room specialty, current to within the last year, is required.
