About the Role

The Sr. Director of Driver & Marketplace Product will own the entirety of Veho’s driver-side product: the driver acquisition, conversion, and onboarding funnel; the driver mobile application; the backend services that match drivers to offers and personalize those offers; and route building and optimization. This is the product space that determines whether Veho’s last mile hits its unit economics — DCH and PPH — while protecting OTD, defects, and abandons. Today ownership of these levers is split across teams, and the result is that we trade quality for productivity instead of optimizing both. This role exists to put one senior product leader on the full loop — driver supply, offer matching, and route construction — because these systems are deeply interdependent and can only be optimized together. The complexity compounds in 2027 as we introduce DSPs alongside our marketplace, turning a one-sided optimization problem into a genuine multi-channel marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

Driver Acquisition, Onboarding & Lifecycle Product

• Own the full driver funnel: finding drivers, converting them, onboarding them, and graduating them from new to tenured.

• Own the driver mobile application end-to-end — the primary interface through which every route is claimed and delivered.

• Build the product levers for driver retention, engagement, and quality progression.

• Key metrics: funnel conversion, time-to-first-route, driver retention/tenure mix, driver NPS.

Offer Matching & Personalization Services

• Own the backend services that match drivers to route offers, including core personalization of offers.

• Move matching from static rules toward learned systems that account for driver preference, tenure, quality history, and network need.

• Own the onboarding progression services that move drivers through lifecycle stages.

• Key metrics: offer acceptance rate, fill rate, time-to-fill, abandon rate.

Route Building & Optimization

• Own how routes are built and optimized to drive PPH and DCH while minimizing OTD misses, defects, and abandons.

• Own route length decisions and the logic for whether a route goes to marketplace or DSP.

• Partner with Network Orchestration Product (First & Middle Mile) on the handoff between sort output and route construction.

• Key metrics: PPH, DCH, OTD, defects, abandons.

Marketplace Strategy & 2027 DSP Readiness

• Design the product architecture for a multi-channel marketplace as DSPs are introduced in 2027.

• Build the pricing, capacity, and channel-allocation mechanics that let Veho balance cost and quality across marketplace and DSP supply.

• Work with Marketplace Operations to ensure product and ops run a single playbook.

• Key metrics: channel mix efficiency, marketplace liquidity, cost per route by channel.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment

• Build and lead the driver and marketplace product team; hire and develop PMs who can go deep on optimization problems.

• Operate as the connective tissue between Last Mile ops leaders (CS Ops, Marketplace Ops), engineering, and data science.

• Keep product and ops on a shared roadmap so tech investment in the driver space is protected and delivered on time.

What You Bring

Must Have

• 10+ years in product, with demonstrated Sr. Director-scope impact — years matter less than evidence of owning a marketplace product space end-to-end and leading product teams (Director level or above) in marketplace, logistics-tech, or gig-economy companies.

• Direct ownership of a supply-side marketplace product: driver, courier, shopper, or dasher acquisition, matching, and engagement at scale.

• Ownership of a P&L-critical metric set where product decisions moved unit economics measurably.

• Experience leading product through a step change in marketplace complexity — adding a supply channel, launching a new market model, or scaling supply 5-10x.

• Has managed PMs, and partnered daily with data science and engineering on optimization systems.

Good to Have

• Route optimization or vehicle routing-adjacent product experience (routing engines, dispatch, delivery promise systems).

• Experience introducing or managing third-party fleet/DSP-style supply alongside a gig marketplace.

• Experience at both a large tech-enabled operator and a high-growth startup — scale rigor plus scrappiness.

• Technical undergraduate degree or hands-on analytical background (SQL-fluent, runs their own queries).
