Responsibilities The Cook is a highly skilled chef who plays an essential role in ensuring that the food is prepared is to the highest standards and that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. The Cooks Duties are: Ensure that all dishes are cooked and prepared to the highest quality and served in a timely manner. Manage inventory and ensure that all necessary ingredients are on hand. Train and mentor new kitchen staff as needed. Enforce and comply with all food safety and sanitation standards. Preparing ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping. Measuring and mixing ingredients for recipes. Maintaining a clean and organized work area. Adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations. Makes sure that all recipes are followed and are up to standard to ensure a great product. Skills Strong leadership and communication skills. Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques and styles. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail. Proficiency in kitchen equipment operation and maintenance.
