Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack

Cardio Diagnostics is an artificial intelligence-powered precision cardiovascular medicine company dedicated to making the prevention, detection, and management of cardiovascular disease more accessible, personalized, and precise. The company was established to further develop and commercialize clinical tests by leveraging a proprietary Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven Integrated Genetic-Epigenetic Engine (“Core Technology”) for cardiovascular disease. Cardio Diagnostics aims to become a leading medical technology company for improving the prevention, detection, and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Responsibilities: Design, develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using technologies such as Next.js and NestJS Build and maintain production applications end-to-end, including frontend, backend, and API development Integrate internal and third-party services, ensuring resilient, secure, and well-documented interactions Design and manage relational database schemas using Prisma ORM and Liquibase Ensure solutions meet stringent requirements for security, privacy, compliance, and reliability Support and integrate Python-based machine learning applications, ensuring reliable interoperability between ML systems (e.g. MLflow) and customer-facing products. Evaluate emerging technologies and drive improvements to system reliability, scalability, and developer workflows Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., AI, compliance, sales, lab technicians, executive teams, etc.) to translate requirements into technical solutions Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of proven experience as a Software Engineer 1+ years of experience with fast-paced startup or small-company environments 1+ years of experience collaborating with non-technical stakeholders Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adapt in a fast-paced environment, and stay current with emerging technologies Highly self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive with strong communication and collaboration skills Experience designing and operating distributed, production-grade systems Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and modern CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS Strong understanding of database design and management, with hands-on experience using Prisma ORM or similar tools Proven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services Preferred Qualifications: Experience in healthcare, biotech, or other regulated-data environments Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, SOC 2, or similar Experience with AWS, particularly Cognito, RDS, and App Runner, for secure and scalable cloud-based deployments Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows, and agile development methodologies Salary Range: $125,000 – $145,000, commensurate with experience This position is salary-only; bonuses are not included Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage 401(k) and Roth 401(k) plans with company match up to the Safe Harbor limit Hybrid work model: 4 days in-office and 1 remote day each week Additional flexibility: 5 extra remote days provided every 6 months Cardio Diagnostics does not provide H-1B sponsorship at this time Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Engineering and Information Technology Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Cardio Diagnostics Inc. by 2x Get notified about new Senior Software Engineer jobs in Chicago, IL. #J-18808-Ljbffr
