Direct Support Professional - Pasadena, CA (EBSH Adult Residential Facility) Job Title: Direct Support Professional 1 or 2 Hourly Rate: $21.00 - $24.00/hr. Shifts Needed: PM Job Status: Full-Time Work Location: Pasadena, CA MUST have DSP 1 & DSP 2 CERTIFICATES. Responsibilities Assists adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives in a (EBSH) home. Supports complete care of dietary, hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs. Redirects behaviors with activities including walking, reading, games, math, and computer projects. Essential Functions Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients as written in Individual Program Plan. Assist clients with bathroom needs. Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed. Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up. Pick‑up/drop‑off clients in company vans from/to their home or facility, if necessary. Education and Experience Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, CPI, and must have DSP 1 & DSP 2 certificates. RBT certification to be completed within 6 months of hire. Training and support are available. Minimum Experience: 1 year of professional or personal experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (e.g., Autism) or mental illnesses (e.g., Bipolar) with challenging behaviors, strongly preferred. Minimum Driving Experience: Valid in‑state driver’s license, age 21+, current registration and insurance, driving record with no more than 2 points in the last 3 years. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Pre‑Employment Requirements The candidate must successfully pass a background check, physical, and other pre‑employment requirements. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
