Specific vision abilities required in this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Position OverviewThe Food Service Worker performs tasks in the preparation and service of food to students and staff in the Brookline Public Schools.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Prepares food with minimum supervision, using standard recipesServes students and staff in a pleasant and efficient manner, and using proper serving sizesCashiers at point-of-sale terminalsAssists in the receipt of orders and suppliesKeeps storeroom, refrigerator, and freezer in good order per HACCP guidelinesKeeps a simple production record of what we prepare and serve dailyEnsuring the temperature of prepared food is correct per HACCP requirements when directed by the managerSets up and breaks down serving lines, using proper sanitation proceduresCleans kitchen equipment and work area.
