Bluebird Technologies builds proprietary texting and data segmentation software that helps progressive campaigns, PACs, and advocacy organizations reach the right people with the right message at the right moment.

As a Producer, you’ll be on the front lines of that work—building, scheduling, and optimizing SMS campaigns that power Democratic fundraising, programs at scale. This is an entry-level role designed for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the mechanics of digital campaigning from the inside of a fast-growing political technology company.

You don’t need years of experience. You need sharp instincts, comfort with data, and a genuine drive to use technology for progressive impact.

What You’ll Do

Your day-to-day will vary with the political calendar, but here’s what the core of the role looks like:

• Build, schedule, and deploy peer-to-peer (P2P) and broadcast SMS/MMS campaigns using the Bluebird platform, ensuring every send is accurate, on time, and on message.
• Monitor campaign performance in real time—tracking delivery rates, click-through rates, and fundraising returns—and surface insights to your team leads.
• Run A/B tests on messaging, creative, and targeting segments, then analyze results to inform what scales next.
• Generate and manage shortlinks, verify redirect chains, and proofread scripts for accuracy before every campaign launch.

• Coordinate with project managers to execute client send calendars, flagging scheduling conflicts and recommending adjustments based on data.
• Communicate fundraising and engagement results to clients through clear, concise performance summaries.
• Explore new features within the Bluebird platform and across the texting landscape to bring innovative ideas to your team.

What You Bring

The Essentials

• Proficiency with spreadsheet tools (Google Sheets or Excel)—you’re comfortable with formulas, pivot tables, and organizing data clearly.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. In texting production, a misplaced decimal or broken link is a real problem.
• Comfort learning new software platforms quickly. You’ll be trained on Bluebird’s proprietary tools, and curiosity is more important than prior experience with any specific platform.
• Clear written communication skills—you’ll be drafting client-facing performance summaries and internal updates regularly.
• Alignment with progressive values and a genuine interest in using technology to advance Democratic campaigns, advocacy, and civic engagement.

Bonus Points

None of these are required—but if you bring any of them, you’ll hit the ground running:

• Familiarity with political advocacy CRMs such as ActionKit/NGPVAN/EveryAction, or fundraising platforms like ActBlue.
• Experience with P2P or broadcast texting tools 
• Exposure to political data services such as L2, Catalist, TargetSmart, or Aristotle.
• Previous campaign, organizing, or political internship experience at any level.

Schedule & Work Environment

This is a Wednesday through Sunday role, but political work follows the political calendar. During peak periods—elections, end-of-quarter fundraising pushes, and year-end campaigns—some evening and off day work will be required. During the first 30 days of initial training, team members will work Monday through Friday to maximize collaboration with their manager
