The successful candidate will be a dynamic and experienced leader with a strong background in nursing education and administration. This pivotal role involves site supervision, development, planning, coordination, organization, implementation, and evaluation of all nursing program activities. The Dean will be responsible for managing the program's budget, faculty and staff, clinical site liaison, curriculum development, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, the role includes serving as a student advocate, maintaining program policies and procedures, and overseeing the admission process and orientation. Applicants for the Dean position must hold a current RN license and a master's or higher degree with coursework in nursing, education, or administration. A minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative role, 2 years of teaching in nursing programs, and at least 2 years of direct patient care as a registered nurse are required. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to diversity. The role demands a leader with a collaborative and facilitative style, capable of working effectively with a wide range of people and institutions. Responsibilities also include faculty recruitment, conflict resolution, and maintaining educational partnerships with clinical sites.
