This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in one of the following locations: San Diego, CA / Redondo Beach, CA / El Segundo, CA / Palmdale, CA. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Product Support organization. The selected candidate will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Other duties include:Plans and executes schedules for engineering design package development and release to meet mission needsTechnical impact assessment, planning and strategy for change implementationGathering of data, requirements development, interfacing with suppliers, and performing basic stress and tolerance analysisActing as manufacturing liaison during build process of projects to ensure overall quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achievedDevelopment of test plans and performing environmental testing of Support EquipmentTesting and integration of manufactured Support EquipmentBasic knowledge of design and analysis tools for mechanical design as well as basic drafting skills to include a working knowledge of solid modeling techniques (NX, Pro Engineer, or CATIA).This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Engineer Product Support (T01) or Engineer Product Support (T02). Basic Qualifications for an Associate Engineer Product Support (T01) A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution by August 2027.Be majoring in or having majored in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar STEM degree.Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.Basic Qualifications for an Engineer Product Support (T02) A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:Be completing or has completed their Master's degree from an accredited institution by August 2027 or is completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of related Product Support Engineering experience by August 2027.Be majoring in or having majored in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar STEM degree.Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.Preferred QualificationsHave an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)Pay RangeAssociate Engineer Product Support: $69,400.00 to $104,000.00Engineer Product Support: $83,400.00 to $125,200.00Campusjobs Primary Level Salary Range: $69,400.00 - $104,000.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
