Accounts Receivable Associate (3-Month Temporary Assignment – Potential Extension)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Occasional overtime required, including 1 Saturday approximately every 3 months

Pay: $22- $ (based on experience)

Position Summary

PGT Innovations, part of MITER Brands, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Associate for a 3-month temporary assignment with the potential for extension . This role will support the finance team in Venice, FL by accurately applying customer payments, reconciling transactions, and maintaining the integrity of accounts receivable records.

This position operates in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Post and apply customer payments to open accounts receivable balances
• Reconcile cash postings to bank deposits and resolve discrepancies
• Collect and review remittance data from financial institutions
• Clear deposits and ensure payments are applied accurately and timely
• Assist Credit Representatives with applying credit memos to invoices
• Support SOX compliance and audit requests by gathering required documentation
• Scan, index, and maintain organized financial records
• Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate reconciliation of transactions
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Completion of basic college-level accounting coursework required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting or accounts receivable role
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency with 10-key data entry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
• Associate degree (AA/AS) in Accounting preferred

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Office environment with extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking
• Frequent use of a computer, phone, and standard office equipment
• Occasional need to access production areas (PPE required when applicable)
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
• May require overtime with minimal notice to meet deadlines
