Organization: Hope’s Outlet Ministries, Inc.

Job Title: Pricer & Donation Processor

Hours: 32-40 hours

Description: The Pricer acts as the backroom production person for pushing product out onto the sales floor. They are responsible for keeping the backroom in order and upholding the backroom processes at their store location. They work with the manager to communicate production and pricing process changes, goals, and updates as needed. They must be very receptive to feedback from customers, the team and management on their pricing; always seeking to stay up to date on the value of items. They set an example for the team in humility, character, ministry, customer service, as well as big and small tasks in the backroom. They communicate regularly with the Manager and act with the highest level of trust.

Duties and Expectations:

-Lead by setting an example in all performance categories: customer service, production, teamwork, cleanliness of backroom, etc.

-Upholds ministry beliefs

-Ensure the backroom team is following daily backroom processes with accuracy and honesty

-Regularly inspecting the work of product taggers to ensure price tags are staying on items well

-Maintain a clean and organized backroom with the help of the team as needed

-Following expectations laid out in handbook: dress code, phone usage, language, etc.

-Responsible for hitting daily/weekly production goals on product carts

-Pricing and tagging merchandise

-Assessing, receiving and/or declining donations at backdoor graciously and interacting well with donors and customers

-Being a learner and staying open and receptive to team and manager feedback on role and pricing. Seeking out ways to grow in regard to learning the value of various merchandise.

-Training new team members who will be working in the backroom

-Updating and involving manager in team, donor and/or customer complaint situations

-Helping to answer the store phone or help on the floor if staff on is low

-Utilizing resources for pricing like eBay, Google and pricing team when unsure of an items value

-Attending quarterly team meetings for Pricers

-Sorting of donations; checking merchandise for brand and quality, lightly cleaning merchandise to make it presentable for the sales floor

-Helping to place large items in their correct positions on the floor

-Placing filled carts/racks of product in their appropriate locations on the sales floor

-Strong attention to detail needed

-Maintaining positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a way that fosters good relationships with others.

-Must be able to lift 40lbs or more regularly. Utilize furniture dolly to move oversized items.

-Keeps work areas stocked with supplies, necessary equipment, and works to maintain a clean, attractive, orderly, and safe work environment in the backroom and throughout the store

-Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals

-Thrives on working collaboratively as part of a team and willing to pitch in to help others.

-And other tasks as needed.
