Together, we're improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor to join our team at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 6pm, rotating weekendsJob ResponsibilitiesPrepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testingUnpack and route specimens to their respective staging areasAccurately identify and label specimensPack and ship specimens to proper testing facilitiesMeet department activity and production goalsProperly prepare and store excess specimen samplesData entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerResolve and document any problem specimensMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDPreferred Qualifications3 months or more of specimen processing experience3 months or more of medical or laboratory experienceAdditional Job StandardsComfortability with handling biological specimensAbility to accurately identify specimensBasic computer knowledge and data entry skillsAbility to work independently and within a team environmentHigh level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitaskAbility to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around timesStrong communication skills; both written and verbalAbility to handle the physical requirements of the positionAble to pass a standardized color blindness testFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needsAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
