Senior HR Professional | Labor & Employee Relations

Location: Concord, CA
Salary: $110,000–$160,000 annually, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Schedule: On-Site

SVS Group is seeking an experienced  Senior HR Professional | Labor & Employee Relations professional for an established organization in the Concord, CA area.

This is a long-term opportunity for a seasoned HR professional with a strong background in  employee relations, labor relations, grievance procedures, contract interpretation, and complex workplace matters . The ideal candidate is looking for a stable organization where they can make a meaningful, long-term impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level HR support and guidance to management and employees.
• Manage complex employee and labor relations matters.
• Interpret and administer employment agreements, organizational policies, and procedures.
• Participate in and support grievance processes.
• Address workplace concerns, investigations, disciplinary matters, and performance issues.
• Partner with leadership to ensure HR practices are consistent, professional, and compliant.
• Maintain knowledge of current employment laws, HR practices, and labor relations requirements.
• Support organizational policies, procedures, employee programs, and other HR initiatives.
• Build strong professional relationships with employees and management.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Strong, progressive Human Resources experience required.
• Demonstrated experience in  labor and employee relations .
• Experience handling grievances, workplace investigations, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution.
• Strong knowledge of employment agreements, policies, and HR procedures.
• Bachelor's degree required; Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Professional HR certification such as  SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is highly preferred .
• Strong understanding of HR best practices and applicable employment regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work professionally with senior leadership and employees at all levels.
• Strong judgment, discretion, ethics, and confidentiality are essential.

Location Requirement

This is an  on-site position in Concord, California . Candidates should currently reside in Concord or within approximately 20 miles of the worksite and be committed to working in the area long term.

Compensation

$110,000–$160,000 annually , depending on experience and qualifications.
