Calibration Technician

Our client is looking for an experienced Field Calibration Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and calibrate industrial weighing equipment at customer sites. You’ll manage your own field assignments and work across bench, floor, tank and heavy-capacity truck scales. What you’ll do Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and preventive maintenance, and complete field calibrations on industrial weighing systems. Install weighing equipment, configure indicators and work with customer and internal technical teams on device connectivity. Produce accurate calibration certificates and service records in line with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. Apply NIST Handbook 44 requirements to legal-for-trade equipment. Maintain test weights, calibration standards, vehicle stock and service equipment. Survey job sites and provide technical input for project scopes and estimates. Support junior technicians with practical guidance on troubleshooting and safe working practices. What you’ll bring At least 3–5 years of direct experience servicing industrial scales and weighing systems. Experience with field calibration, diagnostics and a range of equipment such as bench, floor, tank or truck scales. Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and NIST Handbook 44. An active commercial driver’s licence (CDL) without a manual transmission restriction , and a strong driving record. Any state Scale Technician licence required for the service territory. The ability to plan and complete customer visits independently, with clear service documentation and communication. A high school diploma or equivalent. An associate degree or technical trade qualification is preferred.
