We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to support the day-to-day finance operations of a construction company in Foslom, California. This Contract position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys organized, detail-focused work and can manage accounting tasks with accuracy and consistency. The person in this role will partner closely with accounting leadership to help maintain timely financial records, support payment activity, and assist with core administrative functions.
Responsibilities:• Record incoming payments accurately and keep account activity up to date.
• Investigate billing or payment discrepancies and follow through on resolutions in a timely manner.
• Process routine financial transactions and maintain organized documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
• Prepare invoices, send payment reminders, and communicate with external vendors regarding account matters.
• Enter financial data into internal records with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Handle check deposits and ensure funds are reflected correctly in accounting records.
• Produce internal reports and account statements to support the accounting team and management.
• Provide general administrative support related to accounting operations and daily departmental needs.• 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for tracking, organizing, and reviewing financial information.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and transaction processing.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent productivity.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors and internal stakeholders.
