JOB DESCRIPTION :


Unix Administrator

Unix SME: Unix Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for providing deep technical expertise, managing Unix environments, and ensuring high availability, performance, and security.


Strong expertise in Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Unix (AIX, Solaris) administration.


Experience in server provisioning, patching, and performance tuning.


Hands-on knowledge of LVM, RAID, NFS, DNS, LDAP, and Shell/Python scripting.


Experience in incident management, problem management, and change management in ITIL-based environments.


Troubleshooting expertise in kernel tuning, system logs, and application performance issues.


Experience with automation and orchestration tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.


Exposure to cloud-based Unix environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
