Industrial Maintenance Technician - Weekend Shift

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – Essity About the Role We're looking for individuals who embody our values, not afraid to challenge, innovate, experiment, and move at a fast pace. In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance of paper‑converting equipment. The position includes hands‑on training on the first shift (7AM to 3:30PM) before moving into a weekend shift (Friday to Sunday) 5AM to 5PM. What You Will Do Meet Essity Safety and Quality standards when performing tasks such as Lock Out/Tag Out or Confined Space activities. Follow a strict Preventive Maintenance schedule. Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair large machines and support equipment as directed by the maintenance supervisor. Repair machine defects found on machinery, and report defects that cannot be corrected to the maintenance supervisor. Respond to calls from the production team to restore or adjust machines to keep products running at expected rates. Problem‑solve and suggest priorities for smooth operation, ask for help when issues cannot be resolved. Follow established processes, perform preventive maintenance tasks and help with changeovers as needed. Make improvement recommendations based on operational experience. Work required overtime to complete repairs to minimize machine downtime. Who You Are 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience. Experience working with a preventive maintenance schedule. Technical or college degree preferred; high school graduate or GED required. Minimum 3 years of experience with the following tools and machinery: lathe, drill presses, band saws, hand tools, pipefitting, welding, brazing, burring, air compressors/HVAC systems. Basic electrical understanding. Experience with mechanical and electrical blueprints or drawings is a plus. What We Can Offer You Compensation: $30 to $34 per hour (starting), bonus and benefits.
