Assess and evaluate patients across various age groupschildren, adults, and seniorsusing both standardized tools and observational methods.
Create customized treatment strategies tailored to address immediate communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges, while also promoting long-term success.
Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions, focusing on aspects like language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Collaborate with an interprofessional team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to establish comprehensive care plans.
Provide education to patients and families, empowering them to continue their progress beyond the clinical environment.
Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, ensuring consistent care throughout the patient journey.
Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with all applicable guidelines and regulations.
Stay engaged with the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and team interactions.
Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Have completed a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.
Possess state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days from the start of employment.
Excellence in implementing evidence-based treatment techniques for all ages, with a solid foundation in both developmental and acquired disorders of speech, language, and swallowing.
Strong communication abilities to connect with patients, families, and team members effectively.
Capability to adjust therapy approaches to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
