The Assistant Manager role is integral part of the success of our team. A detail oriented and collaborative leader who is driven by results and has a passion for movies and guest service. Leading by example in all areas upholding, guiding and supporting others in the Company values, programs, policies and procedures. Our Assistant Managers understand the value of providing movie-lovers with a perfect movie-going experience!
In this role, you will be expected to:
- Understand and assist with the execution of operational policies and procedures; (labor, cost of sales, revenue control, speed of service, guest satisfaction, equipment and procedure training, safety of guests, staff and ensure quality of on-screen movie presentation)
- Assist with various administrative processes during slower business level activity i.e. recruitment, completing initial hire procedures, data entry, running and compiling reports etc.
- Assist with the selection, training, development and employment experience of the staff
- Have a comprehensive, working-knowledge of and ability to train others on pertinent systems (POS, phones, lost & found, theatre lobby & cinema checks, etc.)
- Understand and ensure all food safety guidelines are followed as prescribed by MJR policy and industry standards
- Assist with the monitoring of guest satisfaction and service recovery opportunities, consistently identifying opportunities to enhance the move-going experience.
- Follow work safety guidelines and ensure staff members are aware of and adhere to safe work practices
- Assume role of "Manager on Duty" when deemed necessary
- Assist with other issues related to the Daily Floor Management as needed
Education, Skills & Experience:
- You must be a skilled communicator displaying tact and courtesy in your verbal communications
- Adaptable communication style understanding your audience
- Self-awareness, self-management, self-initiative and accountability
- Able to clearly communicate expectations/goals, and can organize time and prioritize work
- Commitment to excellence in Guest service with proven ability to maintain significant attention to detail
- Proven track record in a leadership role within a fast-paced environment
